Tina Huang

Can you quickly introduce yourself?

My name is Tina. I am a junior studying accounting and information systems, and I joined Zero2One to one in September of 2020. Its been almost 2 years. I started as outreach director and then last semester, I moved to the Vice President of External after the restructuring.

What was your original motivation in joining Zero2One and how has that changed that you're part of the community now?

Zero2One was fairly new and the Outreach team had the responsibility to introduce new people to the organization. So I thought in the process of doing that I get to know some other people and grow my own network as well. In the beginning, I didn't know much about entrepreneurship. The only entrepreneurship-like experience was starting a student store on campus.

But as for what motivates me internally in Zero2One, I think what keeps me in is the ambitious people and how we are, despite being new, still discovering how to improve every day.

I think that's what I want to learn more about here.

What was your most memorable experience?

The moment that was most memorable project/moment was during our last online semester when I had Kim, Ben, Aditya, and Yei as our members in Outreach because that's the time when we constantly worked together and eventually became very close friends. We had a two-hour, long social, every week on Zoom.

What is your favorite thing about being part of this community?

What I enjoy the most, I guess is just that bond. I'd say they're all very like they have they're all very opinionated, and they have a purpose that they want to accomplish. Everybody here is very

passionate about something I got to deal with highly passionate like Aditya about operations management. He's very passionate about psychology and how it's widely applicable in different areas. Additionally, he’s genuinely interested in making friends and taking care of people. So in general, I would say that everybody here is very passionate about something, even if it's not entrepreneurship all the time.

What is something Zero2One has taught you that you use outside of this organization?

It's about starting from nothing because we are an organization that is trying to help people from nothing. We're very new and started from nothing.

I really learned the most about how to establish your credibility when you are nothing, and how to build connections. Building these connections is crucial not only for oneself, but also for the future of Zero2One.

What are your future plans in relation Zero2One or what do you hope to see in the future?

I hope to see we get to continue this community, because we do serve a special part of this campus, and the fact that we are very big on taking initiative, and how we launched our own Quad Day brought together several different people.
